TraceScout Privacy Policy

TraceScout is a product of PostaraTrend Technologies Inc., a company incorporated in Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what information TraceScout collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

• Account information: name and email address when you create an account.
• Resume content: the resume or CV you upload, including work history, education, and skills you have listed.
• Usage data: saved search preferences, watched companies, dashboard review and threshold state, matches viewed, tailoring requests, application and progress activity, cover letters generated, interview practice sessions, and aggregate shared-resume activity tied to your account so your history can be shown back to you.
• Reference information, where you choose to use this feature: the name and contact details of a reference you supply, used only to confirm the specific claims you ask them to confirm.
• Payment information: handled directly by our payment processor, Stripe. TraceScout does not store your card number or bank details.

We use your information to match you with relevant postings, personalize your career dashboard, monitor opportunities, show changes in Career Pulse, provide market context and company watch summaries, maintain your application progress and history, summarize anonymous activity on resume links you shared, generate tailored resumes and cover letters on your request, provide interview practice checked against your attested resume, send you the emails you have chosen to receive, and process your subscription or one time payment.

Email is always your choice, and the two email options are separate choices you control independently:

• Daily match digest: an email about new matches, sent only on days you have fresh matches.
• Career and interview tips: optional emails with practical interview, resume and job search guidance. It is off unless you turn it on, and turning on the daily match digest never turns this on.

You can turn either one off at any time in your Preferences. Before the career and interview tips email begins sending, each of those emails will also include a way to unsubscribe directly from the email.

We do not sell your information. Your resume content is shared with the following processors only as needed to run the service:

• Supabase, for account authentication and secure storage of your data.
• Stripe, for payment processing.
• Anthropic, whose AI models power the matching, tailoring, cover letter, and interview practice features.
• OpenAI, which we may use to help draft or review general career guidance content and to support named product features.

AI processors help produce and review content. They do not decide who receives email from us. Whether you are opted in, whether you have unsubscribed, and whether an email is sent are determined by our own systems using fixed rules, not delegated to an AI model.

If you choose to create a verification link to share your attested resume with a specific employer or recruiter, that link is shared only with the parties you send it to, and you may revoke it at any time.

Shared-link activity shown in your account is aggregate and anonymous. It does not identify the external viewer, their employer, or whether they are a recruiter, and it does not count unique people.

Some of our processors operate servers outside Canada. Where information leaves Canada, we take reasonable steps to require a comparable standard of protection from the processor.

We keep your account and resume information for as long as your account is active, and for up to twelve months after account deletion to allow recovery of your data upon request, unless a longer period is required by law.

You may access, correct, and export your resume data. You can turn daily match emails and the optional career and interview tips email on or off independently in your Preferences. Before career and interview tips begin sending, each of those emails will include a direct way to unsubscribe.

For account or personal-data deletion requests, contact us. Self-service account deletion is not currently available; privacy requirements and applicable retention obligations must be reviewed.

We use industry standard measures, including encrypted storage and access controls, to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

TraceScout is not directed at children under sixteen, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date.
